Crafting the Dining Experience at Damac Heights
February 21, 2025
At The Studio by DH, every space is designed with intention—where form meets function, and aesthetics enhance everyday living. The dining area at Damac Heights is no exception. It’s more than just a space for meals; it’s a place for connection, conversation, and shared moments.
Blending warmth, balance, and sculptural elegance, this dining space was designed to feel both grounded and inviting. We sat down with Eleena, the designer behind the vision, to explore the inspirations, materials, and key elements that bring this setting to life.
A Vision of Warmth & Balance
1. Embrace Minimalist Design Principles
“The goal was to create a space that feels effortless, where every detail serves both an aesthetic and functional purpose,” says Eleena.
From the beginning, the moodboard was shaped around natural textures and organic forms, ensuring a timeless yet modern appeal. The combination of rich wood, natural stone, and soft upholstered elements creates a tactile experience that enhances the overall warmth of the space.
✔ Wood – Bringing warmth, depth, and an organic feel.
✔ Metal – Adding solidity and sophistication.
✔ Soft Upholstery – Providing comfort and an elevated touch.
These materials work together seamlessly, allowing the space to feel cohesive, welcoming, and inherently luxurious.

The Pillar: A Design Feature, Not a Challenge
One of the most striking elements in this dining area is the structural pillar, which could have been a design constraint but instead became a focal point.
“Instead of seeing it as a challenge, we turned it into a design statement with floating shelves. This not only adds functionality but also enhances the rhythm of the space, creating vertical movement that feels intentional,” Eleena explains.
The result? A sculptural moment that blends seamlessly with the dining area while adding a layer of visual interest.

More Than Just Design - A Place to Connect
At its core, this dining area isn’t just about furniture and finishes it’s about creating an atmosphere where people gather, share, and connect.
“Great design isn’t just about how a space looks it’s about how it feels and functions. In this dining area, every detail contributes to a setting that’s both sculptural and inviting, a space that enhances daily rituals and special moments alike,” Eleena reflects.
This is the essence of The Studio by DH designing with purpose, shaping spaces that go beyond aesthetics, and crafting experiences that elevate everyday life.
